PersonaLab MCP

Ask your users
without leaving Claude.

Connect PersonaLab to Claude, Cursor, or Codex and your personas become people you can just talk to mid-build. Casual interviews are free. Formal studies still run on our server, cited the same way.

What you can ask

Plain questions. Real tools underneath.

Every prompt below maps to something the server actually does — nothing here is a demo of a feature that doesn't exist yet.

create_service
Set up a service for the thing I’m building and find people who’d use it.
match_personas
Find five people in my target demographic who would actually use this.
start_casual_interview
Interview Maria about why she’d drop off during onboarding.
run_interview
Ask all five of them what would make them pay for this.
get_report
What did the study say about pricing? Pull the report.
get_pool
Show me the personas I’ve already got in the pool.
log_interview
Save a summary of that conversation.

Install

One command. Then sign in.

Pick your tool. Each tab tells you exactly how that client signs in — browser approval, or a token, depending on what it supports.

claude mcp add --transport http --scope user personalab https://personalab.aimgonna.com/api/mcp
  1. Paste the command in your terminal.
  2. Run /mcp inside Claude Code and pick PersonaLab → Authenticate.
  3. Approve in the browser tab that opens. That’s it — no token to copy.

No account yet? You'll be able to sign up on the approval screen, and once you're connected you can set up your first service — your product and who you want to hear from — without leaving the conversation. Nothing to do here first.

What it costs

Casual is free. Studies aren't.

Casual interview
Free, on purpose. Your own model plays the persona from a profile we hand it. Good for poking at an idea mid-build. Rate-limited, not metered.
Formal study
Runs on our pipeline — broadcast to every persona, judged, and written up as a cited report. Costs credits, exactly the same as running it in the web app.
Using a client that can't sign in from a browser?

CI jobs and header-only clients can still connect with a personal access token. Generate one under Claude & MCP access on the billing page and pass it as Authorization: Bearer …. Tokens are shown once and can be revoked any time.

Your personas are one command away.
